![]() I know everyone will be quick to point out that major airports will have historical data. And I don't see a way to get personal stations when in "historic mode". then telling me exactly how? Like I say, if I have a personal one selected and hit Historical, it insists on popping over to an airport pretty far away. ![]() ![]() If you're about to reply "yes" but haven't tried in a while, do you mind double checking. Why did they make this so much harder?ģ) Is there some way to force it to (try to) use history data from a nearby personal station? I seem to recall I could find historical personal station data a couple of years ago, but now can't seem to. Instead you can "search for" stations by city name or zip code, but how do I know what's near me that has historical? So I have to go through a whole lot of "nearby sounding" places to see if they will have historical data or not. (It's not at all clear what airports have how much historical data, or how Wunderground is deciding to select where it goes for historical info.)Ģ) I can't find any map of nearest stations with historical weather data, like you can find a map of current stations. But I think that even here, it's not full historical data, for which I think it will try to go to a large airport considerably farther away. But I am trying to find historical data near me and as soon as I hit any "historical" button, suddenly the information is much more problematic.ġ) It drops the nearest personal station I had selected, and falls back to a small airport quite a bit farther (20 miles instead of 2). Wunderground does a super fantastic job of showing current and forecast weather data, and the locations of monitoring stations. ![]()
